With more intermediate and advanced terrain than any other resort in the South island of New Zealand, Treble Cone is renowned for its steep bowls, tight chutes and unrivalled powder. Treble Cone is 19km from Wanaka and is accessible by road. Trail Map
The small town of Wanaka is nestled on the shores of Lake Wanaka in the South East end of the Southern Alps of New Zealand. It is surrounded by World heritage listed Mount Aspiring National Park, including Treble Cone Resort.
YES Accommodation:
While in Wanaka, our guests stay at Edgewater Resort, conveniently located within walking distance of Wanaka town centre.
Edgewater Resort
Nestled around beautiful Lake Wanaka, the Edgewater Resort is one of the most tranquil places on earth.
Facilities include restaurant and bar (room service available), guest laundry, drying rooms, all weather tennis courts, spa and sauna.
All rooms include bathroom, balcony, fridge, minibar, TV, video movies, radio, tea and coffee making facilities, hairdryer, desk and telephone.
Share accommodation or private rooms are available in either Studio, 1 bedroom or 2 bedroom suites.
Flights & Transfers
- The closest international airport is located in Queenstown. Transfers from Queenstown to Wanaka take approx. 1 hour 45 minutes.
- Contact YES to pre-book your coach transfers from Queenstown airport to your accommodation.
- Daily transfers to/from your accommodation to the mountain are included in the full YES program. Transfers from Wanaka to Treble Cone ski area take approx. 35 minutes.

On Arrival
- Saturday (program start date) is arrival and departure day. Check in for YES accommodation is 4pm and check out is 9.30am.
- If you have arranged your own accommodation, please call the YES representative at Edgewater Resort (Ph: +64 3 443 8311) to confirm your arrival. If delayed in transit please call and advise your situation.
- Sunday is the first day on snow to find your feet with a guided tour around the Treble Cone ski area. If you have arranged your own transfers, please meet the YES representative inside the Treble Cone Café, in front of the coffee bar, between 9:30-10am.

Getting Around
Wanaka is a compact village so in most cases you’ll find it easy to walk from your accommodation to local restaurants and shops. There is a local taxi service available.
Equipment Rental
There are numerous stores in Wanaka to arrange equipment rental on your arrival. Ask the YES representative on arrival or Contact YES for more information.
Money & Banks
There are numerous banks and ATMs in Wanaka and Treble Cone
accepts US Dollars, Australian Dollars, Japanese Yen, Pound Sterling and Euros. There are also services in Wanaka to exchange your money.
Shopping & Eating
The relaxed village of Wanaka combines an eclectic mix of outdoor sports and clothing stores, art galleries, funky cafes, and a fine selection of bars and restaurants, all within easy walking distance (or a short taxi ride) to your accommodation.
